Coaching is better with a community

Coaching is your passion, but...
  • running a business is a whole other set of skills that you've not yet fully honed.
  • Instagram is filled with coaches who seem to have it all figured out, making you feel even shittier that you're still struggling to get clients.
  • some days you crush it, and others you worry whether you're doing the best job a coach can for their clients.
  • your friends and family try, yet they can't understand coaching and entrepreneurship, and that leaves you feeling a bit lonely.
  • finding other coaches who give a shit about equity and social justice (other than in a performative way) feels like finding the smallest needle in the biggest haystack.

You're not alone. We're here to support you...

by getting real.
This isn't social media. We honestly and vulnerably share our struggles (a millionaire coach is an exception).

by talking biz.
No one is born with an entrepreneurial gene. It's a skill, and one that we learn and develop as a community.

by talking shop.
CECs are good, and sharing real-world stories (+ tips & tricks) helps us improve our coaching chops.

by understanding.
There's no one better to hold space for a coach than other coaches. We get it, and we're here to listen.

We want to make coaching a more equitable industry.

Finding this community where I could safely discuss struggles, celebrate wins and learn how to do coaching and business in a way that honored me and my values was a game-changer. I feel more centered, grounded and present in all that I do.”Nicole Havelka, anti-burnout coach

They're not like us.
Most membership communities either do too little (no one likes a bait-and-switch) or do too much (who has the energy to keep up?). We've been there, and we know how it feels.

When we set out to create this community, we focused on a healthy balance. We want to be sure you get the support and connection you might need and enough space to breathe and rest.

We're both incredibly values-driven, and liberation is at the top of our list. To build a liberatory community means having and setting realistic expectations for ourselves and for you.

  • No busy work.
  • No activities with no clear purpose.
  • No guilt you for showing up but "not really being there."
And we'll never pretend to be anything more than what we are: two intersectional feminist coaches working toward a liberatory future in life and business.

If this is your jam, you're definitely in the right place.
Hey there, we're Taina & Becky!

We're so proud to run the Intersectional Coaches Circle, in addition to co-hosting Messy Liberation podcast.

Through our work together (and separately) we discovered that finding a values-aligned community as an entrepreneur can be incredibly difficult. So we set out to build one that is inclusive of diverse perspectives and experiences with like-minded coaches that are intent on building a better world through their practice.

Together, we have more than 30 years of coaching experience, and we're passionate about helping coaches deepen their practice and a business through an intersectional lens.

Taina Brown (she/her) is a former feminist scholar turned strategy whiz trained in somatic and CBT methods. As a personal and professional development coach of over 15 years, she helps leaders and their teams show up as their best, values-aligned selves to do good work. ifthenand.org
Becky Mollenkamp (she/they) is a feminist business coach for service-based business owners ready to make the leap from solo provider to CEO of a team of consultants. She serves as sounding board & guide as they choose how to grow a business without replicating toxic capitalism. beckymollenkamp.com
